5 Ways To Start Your Morning Feeling Like THAT Girl

We live in a society where everything is rushed even in our morning routine. It can be easy to forget that you deserve to start your day with intention. Mornings can be magical in their own right. I think that there can be something beautiful in the chaos of it all.
But here's the thing; how you start your morning can set the tone for how the rest of your day. Your morning routine doesn't have to be super elaborate or consist of expensive or fancy things. You only truly need to focus on making small intentional decisions that can help you truly start your day on a positive note.
The first way for me is to WAKE UP EARLY! I make a point now to wake up at 5am. Waking up early while the world is quiet & sleeping has been a game changer for me. It provides you with the time to focus solely on pouring into yourself and tending to your needs before tending to others during your day. You get to start your day on a peaceful note, while setting the tone for the day ahead.
Next up is DAILY AFFIRMATIONS! Speaking positively into yourself & into your day does a world of good on your mental and emotional health. Affirmations don't have to be long, but they do have to be intentional. You have to work on believing the things you tell yourself. Believe that you are deserving of all the good things the world has to offer you. It's similar to the concept "Happiness is a choice" You truly do get to choose whether to be happy in this life. No other person can or should decide that for you. That should translate into everything else. So each morning I encourage you to look in your mirror and say some positive affirmations to yourself and each day move intentionally like you fully believe what you are saying.
Next way to feeling like you are truly THAT Girl is ROMANTICIZING THE LITTLE THINGS! This simply means that you should enjoy your own company while doing the things that truly make you happy. Buy yourself some flowers, take yourself on a solo date, light some candles & play some music that makes you feel good...buy a cute outfit for yourself that makes you feel confident. You deserve to celebrate and love on yourself often. Little actions have big positive impacts in the long term.
The 4th way is to MOVE YOUR BODY! As a gym rat myself, I will always promote moving your body/working out. Moving your body is good for you not only physically, but mentally, emotionally, and even spiritually as well. This is not to say that you MUST be in the gym or even doing anything super rigorous. Stretch daily for 10-20 mins. Go on a 20-30 min walk. Take a dance class or put on some good music and dance in your living room. Do what feels most natural and good to you!
The 5th way to feeling like you are truly THAT girl is GETTING READY FOR YOU! What you put on shouldn't be for anyone else. In fact, nobody has to even see you. Take a good shower, put on an outfit that makes you feel comfortable and confident even if nobody else will see it that day. Wear some lip gloss, wear makeup if you so choose, spray something that smells good and DO YOU!
Remember You don’t need to change overnight. You just need to remember: your mornings—and your life—belong to YOU. You deserve to wake up to a life you love.
